Good stories

Alan Nourse has a way with mixing moral messages into sci-fi. A few of these stories are thought-provoking in their message, but some are just plain fun. The last story had me cracking up. It was great! Kirk is an excellent reader, and he always does a nice job with his recordings. This was an excellent listen. Enjoy!
Great stories with some amusing twist, great story reader

great author, much mispronunciation continued...

A LibriVox Listener
Agreed. Add armIStis (armistice) to that list. I now collect these Librivox mispronunciations - I have accumulated well over 100, ranging from the moronic axe (ask) and excape (escape) to the relatively sophisticated rithered (writhed). I'm still waiting for a 'z' to turn up. In order to be fair, I try hard to exclude legitimate alternative pronunciations from the collection as far as possible, but it's very, very depressing. Sometimes, it's difficult to pick up a mispronunciation because the reader is gabbling the text so fast - like this guy. Simply takes away any pleasure from listening to these recordings...
A nice collection classic sci-fi
