Sounds like Kristine bekere In first story . If so much improved and understandable English than the moonstone. But still couple if mispronunciations Eg parenthesis and steak. But well done great improvement. And if not her then mispronunciations similar but nit as many as the moonstone. .. which by the way was the first noted mystery book ever .. written, It so happens, by a pal of Charles dickens

Rare and Exceptional Mix

Each of the four volumes offer an excellent complement to the better known Dickens novels and stories. Much of their value is the mix-short stories from Household Words, essay such as “it is Not Generally Known”, Dickens’ letter remarking on the success of his reading tour. Standouts” and the endearing “‘Mrs Lirriper’s Lodgings, charmingly irr
