Amazing true story’s of both free and slaved real Americans, these are our black and white hero’s, these are the people that fought for our country and to be free, and loved America, they didn’t want to be seen as black colored or African American, they wanted to be seen as Americans, we have have gone so fare in the other direction in this country, we make segregation a good think instead of everyone being one uniform people, love this book, should be mandatory reading in schools
