Yee-Haaw! The Pony Rider Boys are on the move again! In this book, the 3rd of the series, the boys have decided that they want to explore the north country. They also want to make their own arrangements for the adventure, with the approval of Professor Zepplin, of course! So they have arrived in Forsythe, Montana, to try their luck in the mountains. Critiques

Good book. If I had sons, I would suggest this series to them.

Saint Thad rides again.

(4 stars)

I'm enjoying this series of books as a diversion from adulthood, but I can't help but notice how Thad grows more saintly in each story while the rest of the Pony club merely exist. If these were more modern stories, the next would likely involve his jealous club pals placing a rattle snake in Thad's sleeping bag. Also, I really appreciate the previous/next book links!

At least this time Ned got to be a hero once. Too much Thad and not enough Walter, Ned, and Stacy.
