Christopher Marlowe was an English dramatist, poet and translator of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe was the foremost Elizabethan tragedian of his day. He greatly influenced William Shakespeare, who was born in the same year as Marlowe and who rose to become the pre-eminent Elizabethan playwright after Marlowe's mysterious early death. This is a good collection of the same poem performed by different people, some better than others. A couple sounded like they were reading Dr. Seuss-like meters, heavily emphasized, but a few very nice selections continued through line breaks and read as sentences and persuasive coaxing. A good introduction to Marlowe's famous poem.
