First in War series. Next is G. H. w Red Cross, then w Marines, then w the Army. My opinion is that this portion of the G.H. series is more bold than the previous series. She & her friends face dangers from ocean, military officials & a spy ring.
very heartening at this time especially

One would think the narrator would have improved with time, but no. There are more mispronunciations in the first chapter than in some entire books. The painful Cockney -ish accent is completely incongruous with the American setting. That, coupled with the droning, monotonous delivery make what could be a light, nostalgic listen a painful slog. Fortunately, the next book in the series provides a new ghost writer and a new narrator.

But where is the Senior High School sequel?
If you have read this and think there is a clear difference compared to the High School and College series you are right. Josephine Chase did not write the Over seas series or the Overland series. While Wiki and others credit her the truth is Glines wrote them. I have read interview by him and he calmly lists this book and others as his work. The publisher owned the pen name Jesse Graham Flower and could keep publishing with that name legally.

The reading is fine, no complaints! Not being an American, I can’t get overly excited by this account. Grace is too good to be true!
