My Travels, A Family Story

This is not a family history. Family histories are invariably dull and of interest to only a few who have a belief in, and are proud of, their pedigree. It is the story of the mother of a family who led a very eventful life and traveled many thousands of miles, at a time when to meet with a traveled person was exceedingly rare. A trip to Brazil, Australia and Britain including contact with slaves (just as the slave trade was ending) and Aboriginal natives, the latter of which which she is negative about. Interesting that she thought the slaves were treated awfully but Aboriginals being sent to an island who died, 'well, that got them out the way!' Not that compelling but it's fairly short and OK to hear observations of things from the time.
