Coming to the King

Krittikas
Francis Ridley Havergal wrote many beautiful hymns, describing a mature relationship with God and Jesus Christ (one and the same). It is rather disappointing to find that the readers on these hymns/poems are children whose voice and level of understanding of the Christian lyrics/poetry have yet to mature. Please reconsider this and find some adult voices willing to read these beautiful hymns and poems. Let the children read their favorite stories/songs/material intended for a young audience, where their voice and enthusiasm will be better apreciated. Thank you.

Krittikas - the reader of this project chose and recorded this on her own volition because she appreciates Havergal's work and wanted to give a recording of it to the world. LibriVox does not audition nor choose projects for the readers; it's all reader-directed. Perhaps an older reader will choose to record this as well. We welcome multiple versions. Feel free to join LibriVox.org and record your own version of this work. :)
Under His Shadow

Would love to ask Librivox reader "Esther ben Simonides" about her knowledge of who M A Spiller was and why she was cited here. After some brief research it seems she married a W A Garrett and later wrote a book together called "Under the King's Shadow" Also, does anyone know what Cant. II G means?

A sweet little sort of hymn-book. I have always very much enjoyed the Havergal sisters' verses. The reader has a sweet voice and does pretty well, though the recording quality isn't the best.
