Least favourite book from a favourite author

Byron Lee Scott
Just my opinion. I have loved many of his novels sci-fi and otherwise. And yet, I found this one tedious and outdated. The political droning on and on may be of interest to a British political history buff, but found me fast forwarding through a few chapters. The sexual repression and propriety of those days was no surprise, though sad. It seemed elementary to me, but made me glad to be living in more open minded times. Also, my impression of the writing in this book, unlike several of his others, to be overly descriptive, full of unimportant, unexplained characters, with long, long run-on sentences containing hordes of pretentious, big words. Sorry, H.G., can't please everyone I suppose. By the way, the reader is one of my favourites, and I'm searching for more of his others. Brilliant, thank you!
Great listen

Thank you to Mr Ogus for reading this hidden gem from HG Wells. He does a stunning job of reading the material beautifully.
